Amelia's playing with the strands of her hairpin when Harley approaches. She doesn't even realize the other woman is coming over until someone in line starts to heckle her with a "Hey baby, ditch the long-haired guy and sing with me next." ...which is cut off as Amelia "accidentally" drives the heel of her boot into the end of one of his tentacles when she takes a half step back.
After a fake quick apology to the man, the rogue reaches out to Harley to take her hands when she's close enough. "This is exciting," she says, a little breathless as her heart starts racing. The last singer before her is finishing up soon... "And terrifying. Dreams, I've never done anything like this before and I hope you won't read too much into what I sing but I'm so--"
An abrupt end to the last singer's performance has Amelia breaking off her thought as the man walks over and shoves the mic into her hands. Judging by the way he's storming off, he wasn't too happy with the heckling he got for singing Fat Bottomed Girls to the bird-man sitting at the edge of the stage. She takes the mic and presses a kiss to Harley's cheek before pulling away. "Wish me luck."
For the sake of her own nervousness, she'd chosen a song she knew all the words to. Her voice is good, if untrained and marred by her nervousness about doing this. But Amelia stands up on the stage and sings her heart out, closing her eyes and swaying with the music as she sings. By the end of the song, she's really getting into it, her voice becoming all the more confident as the audience cheers and whistles at her.
When it's over, the rogue takes an awkward bow and passes the mic onto a fairy-like creature to start her number. Amelia rushes back to Harley and throws her arms around her in a tight hug. "I did it! Dreams, I actually did it!"
