"Of course you deserve it. You're in your own apartment, that's a huge step forward." Never mind that it's a mess. "Once you get a handle on things here, then you can make this your own space, however you want it to be. That's the fun part of having a home."

The fact that Amelia seems willing to stop deprecating herself, at least for Adia's sake, also feels like a step forward. When the rogue asks for help, Adia nods earnestly. She extricates her arm from other woman's shoulders so she can push up her sleeves in anticipation of the work they have ahead of them.

"Before we start, I just want to point out you're doing the work that used to involve a rotation of paid staff. So it's naturally going to feel like a lot. But once you get a routine going, it won't feel overwhelming, I promise." She looks around again, assessing the situation, and asks, "Where do you want to start?"
