Amelia frowns slightly. "I thought people around here were better about this sort of thing. I mean, I expected the question of 'are the two of you together?' after our adventure with the security guard, but... that kind of reaction seems out of place." She jerks her head toward the kitchen where the waitress disappeared to emphasize her point. "I don't even see that sort of thing in my world, and we seem to be behind in just about every way possible."
