Sharing the holiday magic [Tagging Viatorus]
Talk of end-of-the-year holidays echoes through the various nooks and crannies of the Nexus, bringing with it talk of warm evenings in with friends and loved ones. And presents. Above all things, there's talk of presents. Big, small, perishable, everlasting - it doesn't matter the type, only that one is giving them to their most precious friends and family.
After speaking with several Nexus denizens about all of the various holidays, Amelia feels confident that giving gifts to those few people she cares about and is even remotely close to is a necessary thing. At least where the decision of what to give them is easy, anyway. And when it comes to Viatorus, she knows exactly what to give him, as she has for quite some time. True, their last several encounters ended quite terribly, but she hopes that he'll see her despite all of that. She may not be completely "better" yet, but she feels like she's made enough progress to at least give him a present.
Without having a specific date set aside with friends to give gifts, she chooses the evening of mid-week day to bring Viatorus his gift. Finding him is easy - discovering he now has an office prevented a wasted day of waiting for him to show up in the Forum - but actually getting in to see him is another. The bodyguard standing watch at the door to Viatorus' office is none too happy with her choice of a late day visit and keeps insisting that she schedule an appointment and return then.
"If you would only just speak to him," she insists again, "I'm sure he would see me now." Or so she hopes. "Please, it's very important." Her grip on the leather messenger bag slung across her body under her cloak tightens slightly - a defensive gesture against the unyielding bodyguard.
