"Doesn't make you any less amazing to those of us outside your family," she points out with a smile. Making him blush wasn't a part of her plan, but it's better than making him feel uncomfortable about his family.

She slowly looks up at him and smiles. The fact that he understands what she's trying to say despite her awkward phrasing is nice. "Just like that," she agrees. "I didn't have another reminder of them from home like I do with..." She hesitates for a moment continuing. "Like I do with Nathan. Anything I have that can possibly make me feel closer or more connected to those I left back home is nice."
