As someone who is better at pushing aside her feelings than confronting them, Amelia much prefers the distractions to the comfort. The tears are an uncomfortable thing, but they pass quickly enough when she's fully distracted. His explanation of televisions gets a very small laugh - and an a accompanying small smile. "I've been to a version of Earth before, you know, so I've seen a television. They were practically everywhere as I walked around." There's some light teasing in there, but it's nice that he cares enough to explain so much without her asking.
