Lovesick fools often do foolish things [Tagging Majima and Harley]
For all the things Amelia was bad at in her life, one thing she could count on was a sense of something not being right. And the current situation with Harley? It had definitely reached that point.
Everything that had followed their Valentine's evening in together didn't make sense. Amelia had sent several text messages to Harley to see how she was doing and to ask if she might see her over the days that followed. Most of the time, she received nothing but silence in response. After a while, though, she got text messages of random words or letters, and the occasional video of a darkness with sniffing and whining sounds that reminded her very much of a dog.
Amelia's been on such a high lately from all of the wonderful things she's been feeling with Harley that this sudden drop off after promises of wanting her around set off the rogue's anxiety. Did she do something wrong? Was it awkward for her to leave at the end of their night in, instead of crashing at Harley's place? She'd had an appointment the following morning that she needed to keep, so going back to the inn had made sense. Was it wrong of her to want that kind of space? Did Harley want something more for her?
Was she doing everything wrong?
The last straw in trying to decide what to do next came in the form of a video message that sounded like the dog answering Harley's phone was chewing on it. It was time to see if the only other person who was as involved with Harley as her knew what was happening. Unfortunately for the rogue, Majima knew as little as she did. Rather than try to work it out with him, she asked him to meet her at Harley's place, to see if they couldn't get the other woman to open the door and let them in.
When Majima finally arrives at the door to Harley's apartment, Amelia's wearing a hole in the floor with her pacing. She turns to him the second he steps through the portal, her hands clenching into loose fists at her sides so she doesn't pick at the embroidery on her fine clothes.
"She won't answer the door. I've called and knocked dozens of times. What do we do?"

...just to drop it again at the sight of the shots and Majima's comment about them. Dreams, she may never drink again after all of this.
"I, ah, think I'll just have the water for now?" She can have another one after she's a little more in control - which certainly isn't after another kiss from Harley. Those are making her head spin (in the absolute best of ways) even more than the drinks are.
She settles back into her seat as Harley heads over to the bar to sign up for another song, watching her closely as she talks with the man who was heckling her. Her grip on her water glass tightens and she's about to growl when he touches Harley, when the other woman takes swift care of the situation herself. Amelia's eyes widen and then she grins around a bright laugh as she turns to Majima. "That's our girl," she notes, her pride showing through more than it normally would thanks to the liquor. "Bringing out the violence and sweet words all in a single breath." Looks like she got to 'bust heads' tonight anyway!
But that song... There's a lot going on there. Amelia looks over at Majima, grin still on her face, one eyebrow quirked in question, then leans over to whisper over the sounds of the club. "Am I reading into this too much, or should we be taking her home now? For more time with just us, I mean."

He isn't about to let perfectly good alcohol go to waste -- regardless of the name or the overly-sweet contents -- and he shoots back one of the Blow Jobs, cleaning excess whipped cream from his upper lip with a swipe of his tongue. Relaxing back into his seat, he watches Harley's particularly soulful performance.
He leans sideways to better hear Amelia. "Huh? Oh, uh. Might be a good idea regardless. I'm thinkin' she can drink either of us mere fuckin' mortals under the table with that turbo-metabolism of hers."

"Mmmmm" She stretches out, sitting back on Majima's lap and just letting herself relax again. "Ya'know... this was a great idea."

"I agree. This is a lot more fun than I expected. The singing part is still terrifying, but I did enjoy it." She smiles at Harley and Majima as she picks up one of the shots. It's a little difficult to get the shot out of the cup, but she does eventually manage - and without losing too much of the drink!
"This is... strange. I've never had anything with this texture before." Lots of new things for the rogue tonight, it seems! At least the drinks part is delicious on the way down.

"Oi, oi. Not to be a fuckin' party pooper," he says, giving Harley's knee a couple of woozy swats for emphasis, "but I'm gonna be useless tomorrow if I keep goin' at this pace."
He's definitely feeling fully-saturated in the evening's alcohol, and he reaches for a glass of water to start flushing some of it from his system.

"You going to stay the night in my apartment again, Goro, or go back to your place?" Because really it is his choice.
And she doesn't need to ask Amelia where she is staying, because she has a good idea that it will be another sleep over night with the rogue. A perfect way to end the night. Being held by someone.
no subject
"Can I stay over too? It's not fair that you ask Majima but not me."
Oh little rogue. The decision isn't in your hands. Not after all the shots you've had tonight.

"Let Amelia do the honors, if she wants. I'll be fine back in Sotenbori."
no subject
"I didn't ask you, because I assumed you would be staying, Amelia." She states softly. "You know you are always welcome at my place."
no subject
"I'm sorry," she says remorsefully. "I just didn't want to be left out of the invitations. I didn't know you were thinking I was coming over already. I mean, I know you said I can always come over but I didn't want to assume anything. That makes me an asshole... or... something. I forget the turn of phrase." Her frown deepens. Remembering things is surprisingly hard right now.
Hugging Harley again, she leans into the other woman as she turns to look at Majima. "You can come to, you know. Lots of space for both of us at Harley's apartment. And... water." More water is probably good for all of them right now.
no subject
"Make sure poor Amelia-chan doesn't end up too miserable tomorrow, eh?"
no subject
"Another rain check." She smiles.
"I got her." Harley moves to where Amelia is seated and lifts her up into her arms, bridal style. "We have done this before, haven't we Amelia? Where I carried you home to my bed?"
no subject
"Going to care me the whole way home, too?" she jokes. "I'm going to get very spoiled if you keep this up."

He follows the two women out of the bar, doing his best to hide the sway in his step. Once he's out the door, he hisses at the cold (ugh, Reynard), then immediately fumbles for a cigarette and lights up.
After savoring a long drag he says, "You gals stay outta trouble, alright?"
