She'd honestly forgotten Viatorus was here and although she jumps at the initial contact of his hand, the tension fades and the shaking subsides when she hears his voice. It hurts when she tries to speak, so instead she simply nods in recognition of what he's saying. It was just a dream, but it's one she's had far too many times now to be comfortable with it.
"I'm so scared," she whispers when she finds her voice again. "I'm afraid of what will happen if... if I listen to my dreams... if I give in to them... What if I lose myself so completely I never wake up?" A shiver runs through her. What a terrifying thought for someone whose religion says the afterlife is filled with dream-like images.
