Might I suggest a direct missive while the network is playing tricks on everyone? A handwritten note can be a very evocative thing to receive when a message such as this is included.

You can add personal touches to such things, too. A scent across the page. A seal they'll know as yours. Perhaps a small gift or token evocative of what you're looking for.

The possibilities are nigh endless.
